Boracay 2024: Revisiting After 7 Years – What’s Changed?
Welcome to our travel vlog! =)
Today, we are revisiting Boracay, Philippines, a destination renowned for its pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. This trip is particularly special because our last visit was in 2017, just before the island underwent a significant transformation.
In 2018, Boracay was temporarily closed for six months to address environmental concerns caused by over-tourism and pollution. Shortly after its reopening, the COVID-19 pandemic led to another extended period of reduced tourism. Now, in November 2024, we have returned to see how the island has evolved.
One of the most noticeable differences is how much cleaner and more organized Boracay feels. The beachfront is less crowded with vendors, the water appears clearer, and stricter regulations have been enforced. Yet, despite these changes, Boracay’s charm remains intact.
Many of the island’s famous activities, including island hopping, parasailing, helmet diving, and paddleboarding, are still available, and the breathtaking sunsets continue to be a highlight. While the nightlife has become more subdued compared to previous years, we can still enjoy performances, beachside dining, and lively bars.
In this video, we will revisit some of Boracay’s most well-known spots – White Beach, Willy’s Rock, Crystal Cove, D’Mall.
